Moroso RallyCrossers Finish 1-2 at Homestead. Proving the old adage; “That practice makes perfect” the top 2 finishers of Sunday’s Rd. 3 of the Florida RallyCross Championship had honed their skills the Moroso Motorsports Park RallyCross Test & Tune the previous week. Charles Theocles stunned those in attendance by not only taking the Prepared-AWD(PA) Class in his Audi 90 but beat out some more rally-prepped vehicles by taking overall win. This was Charles first overall win in his rally-tire shod but otherwise stock Audi. With his win he stretched his lead to over 23 points in the PA Class and stays with 1 point of the overall lead in the Florida RallyCross Championship. Finishing 2nd overall and 1st in the Modified 4-Wheel Drive(M4) Class was David Calhoun in a Suburu WRX. David used his practice time he had at Moroso to defeat perennial winner Winston Crosbie by less 25 seconds total after 6 runs. The Next RallyCross Test & Tune is slated for Sunday, May 6th at Moroso Motorsports Park. Gates open at 9:00 AM and practice will run till 3:00 PM. Cost is $45 for drivers and spectators are just $5.
